Should moisturizer be applied before or after sunscreen?

Apply moisturizer before sunscreen. In the morning, sunscreen should generally be the final skincare step before makeup. If you use a moisturizer that already contains an SPF, follow its label directions and make sure you apply enough product for the stated sun protection.

How can you repair your skin barrier?

Repairing your skin barrier usually involves a gentle skincare routine with hydrating and barrier-supporting ingredients. Using a gentle cleanser, a targeted repair serum, and daily sunscreen can help support the skin's natural recovery process.

Should acne-prone skin wear sunscreen every day?

Yes. Daily sun protection is important for acne-prone skin, particularly when you are exposed to the sun. Certain acne treatments may also make skin more sensitive to sunlight, making consistent sunscreen use especially important.

Can sunscreen cause acne?

Some sunscreen formulas may feel too heavy for acne-prone skin, but sunscreen itself does not necessarily cause acne. Look for lightweight, oil-free or non-comedogenic formulas designed to minimize the risk of clogged pores.

What sunscreen is best for oily, acne-prone skin?

Lightweight, non-greasy, and non-comedogenic sunscreens are generally good options for oily, acne-prone skin. Matte or dry-touch formulas can also help minimize the appearance of excess shine throughout the day.

Do I still need sunscreen during winter?

Yes. UVA and UVB exposure does not disappear during the colder months. Continue applying broad-spectrum sunscreen to exposed skin as part of your morning routine, even during winter.
