Can I use Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel on my back?

Yes. Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel can be used on the face, body, chest, and back. It helps remove impurities and excess sebum without stripping the skin and is formulated for oily and mildly acne-prone skin.

Does oily skin still need moisturizer?

Yes. Oily skin still needs hydration to help support the skin barrier. Look for a lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizer, and consider a mattifying formula if excess shine is a concern.

Can makeup make pimples worse?

Some makeup products may contribute to clogged pores, so choosing oil-free or non-comedogenic formulas can be helpful for acne-prone skin. It is also important to remove makeup thoroughly at the end of the day as part of a consistent cleansing routine.

Can I exfoliate if I have active acne?

Yes, but avoid scrubbing active pimples. Ingredients such as salicylic acid can help unclog pores in acne-prone skin, while harsh physical exfoliation can increase irritation and inflammation.

How can a pimple patch help with a breakout?

A hydrocolloid pimple patch can absorb sebum and impurities from a blemish while creating a protective barrier that helps prevent touching and picking. Effaclar Duo+M 3H Patches are clinically proven to visibly reduce imperfections in as little as three hours and can be worn for three to eight hours or overnight.

What ingredients should I look for in skincare for acne-prone skin?

Salicylic acid is commonly used in skincare for acne-prone skin because it helps exfoliate the skin and unclog pores. La Roche-Posay’s Effaclar range includes salicylic acid in different formats, including cleansers, serums, and moisturizers, so you can choose products that fit your routine.
