Our products’ tolerance is tested on the most sensitive skin: reactive, allergic, acne-prone, eczema-prone, and damaged or weakened by cancer treatments; and come with a promised prerequisite of being 100% hypoallergenic. If we detect a single case of allergic reaction, we go back to the labs and reformulate.

We select the most protective packaging associated with only the necessary preservatives, to guarantee intact tolerance and efficacy over time. Developed in collaboration with dermatologists and toxicologists, our products contain only the essential ingredients, at the right active dose.

With 19 studies on more than 1200 patients, La Roche-Posay pioneered and has been a key expert in the science of the skin microbiome, the cellular composition of our skin which is unique to every individual. Since 2011, our studies have succeeded in demonstrating clinical efficacy on acne, psoriasis and eczema; and an overall improvement in quality of life.

To complement our acne skin care products, La Roche-Posay leverages artificial intelligence to offer SPOTSCAN: our first personalized skin analysis for oily, acne-prone skin. Combining more than 7000 expert-sourced and graded photos of all ethnicities with our exclusive patented algorithm, which has been co-developed with and validated by dermatologists, SPOTSCAN offers the most accurate imagery approved by the most renowned experts in acne.

INNOVATING SUSTAINABLY

As we innovate our products, we ensure to improve our environmental and social impact on our planet and people. One of the ways that we do this is by committing to reduce the use of plastic by 60% by 2025 through our eco-friendlier packaging designs. In addition, La Roche-Posay is the only brand to test formulas in real life aquatic conditions, abiding by a strict formulation charter to make sure they do not damage coral or other living organisms in the sea. By 2025, 100% of our products will have an improved environmental or social profile.

PRODUCING SUSTAINABLY

Since 2018, La Roche-Posay has been producing in our carbon-neutral plant, allowing us to reduce our environmental footprint of our plants and distribution centres by 60%, from a 2005 baseline. The Group’s key criteria for industrial performance includes reducing CO2 emissions in absolute terms, cutting water consumption, reducing waste per unit of finished product, and shrinking the transport footprint.

DEVELOPPING SUSTAINABLY

Sharing growth with our internal and external stakeholders is a priority for La Roche-Posay. We implement this by fostering access to work through a range of programs, such as our solidarity sourcing program where we provide a direct and equitable income for more than 21,500 women in Burkina Faso, helping them develop their communities while protecting the environment through the preservation of shea trees. In addition, we include suppliers in our sustainable development commitments, and ensures that our employees around the world benefit from the best social practices.

La Roche-Posay aims to empower its consumers to make sustainable choices. We are pursuing a number of initiatives to achieve this goal: transparently sharing information on the environmental and social impact of our products, assessing the footprint of our brand, raising consumer awareness, and making sustainable development more desirable.

Our unique soothing antioxidant La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water, naturally rich in Selenium, has been recognized by the scientific community for decades, and by over 453,000 patients as a relief for the most sensitive skin. With thermal spring water as a fundamental ingredient in many products, La Roche-Posay makes the water available to everyone.

The town of La Roche-Posay, in central France, is home to Europe’s largest thermal water treatment center, exclusively dedicated to dermatology. The center has welcomed over 400,000 patients since 1905, and today, is led by a team of 8 dermatologists who welcome 7,500 patients every year, 30% of which being children. It is the leading center of Thermal Dermatology in Europe, specializing in the treatment of eczema, psoriasis, severe burns and in addressing the needs of patients who have undergone cancer treatments.

Our Thermal Spring Water is supported by 12 clinical studies published in peer reviewed, dermatological journals and contains stability that is guaranteed by over 500 quality controls every year.

With over 10 years of commitment to oncology, La Roche-Posay is determined to help cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Our focus is to help improve patient quality of life through reducing skin side effects with the help of our safe, tolerable and effective skin care products.

Having conducted 7 studies with over 570 patients undergoing cancer treatments, La Roche-Posay has demonstrated efficacy in reducing skin side effects of these cancer patients who were receiving effective, but harsh and drying treatments. In these same studies, there was a significant positive change in their quality of life as well.

Pioneering the treatment of post-cancer patients at our Thermal Center in France, La Roche-Posay has treated over 21,000 patients since 2008. In addition, we offer supportive care through our skin care & corrective makeup workshops.
